Leslie received her undergraduate degree from Carlow College in Mathematics with a minor in secondary education. As the Project Controls Director, she supervised the Project and Functional Managers for all active new plant projects (valued at $28B), maintaining/establishing the necessary governance and resources to support these projects and standard project controls offerings for new business.

Within Westinghouse, she was responsible for managing the efforts of a project controls team such that schedule, cost and risk were maintained in support of the profit objectives for the VC Summer project – a $6.4B project being supplied in South Carolina. This included an estimating organization that produced costs and price schedules that were included with the commercial offers.

At Bombardier, Leslie was responsible for the development of a proposal support group that was responsible for the production of all commercial and technical bids for the $400M/year, ISO 9001 certified, Six Sigma based business. These positions have required extensive leadership, resourcefulness and communication skills for dealing with new clients and internal proposal and project teams. Since her retirement from Westinghouse, she has returned to Bombardier to assist with the establishment of a strategic sourcing program for wayside rail equipment and its installation. Leslie Mansfield has almost 40 years of experience as Head of Construction & Electrical Installation, Bid Management Director and Project Manager for Bombardier and Project Controls Manager and Director for Westinghouse.
